Indications
Means of plant origin. It has expectorant and mucolytic effects, which are associated with the presence of saponins, essential oil (up to 4.3%) and mucus. Strengthens perspiration, has antipyretic properties, exhibits bactericidal, fungicidal, antiviral effects. Sesquiterpene lactones (including alantholactone, isoalantholactone) cause an increase in microcirculation in the gastric mucosa, stimulate the production of mucopolysaccharides of protective mucus, accelerate the healing process of ulcers, have a hepatoprotective effect, and have a biliary effect. The gastroprotective effect is due to the ability to neutralize excess hydrochloric acid and antispasmodic action. Nard is rich in inulin (up to 44%). Fructose, which is formed during its hydrolysis, is absorbed by the insulin-independent mechanism, which helps optimize carbohydrate metabolism, especially during hypoxia and diabetes. Contraindications
