Pharmacological effect
Means of plant origin. It has a sedative, hypotensive, negative chronotropic and cardiotonic action. The action is due to the properties of biologically active substances contained in the plant (including glycosides, alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins).
Indications
As a sedative for: Nervous irritability. Sleep disorders. Neurasthenia. Neurocirculatory dystonia.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the drug. Pregnancy. Children's age up to 12 years.
Dosage and administration
9 g (2 tablespoons) of motherwort herb is placed in an enamel bowl, 200 ml (1 cup) of hot boiled water is poured, covered with a lid and infused on a boiling water bath for 15 minutes, cooled at room temperature for 45 minutes, filtered, the remaining raw material is squeezed. The volume of the resulting infusion is brought to 200 ml with boiled water. Accept inside on 1/2 glasses 3 times a day in 1 hour prior to food. Before use, the infusion is recommended to shake.
