Composition
1 tab. ambroxol hydrochloride 20 mg, sodium glycyrrhizinate 30 mg, dry extract of thermopsis 10 mg, sodium bicarbonate 200 mg. Excipients: potato starch, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone K25 (kollidon K25), talc, stearic acid, sodium carboxymethyl starch (sodium starch glycolate, Primodjel).
Pharmacological effect
The combined drug for the treatment of cough, has mucolytic and expectorant effects, and also has anti-inflammatory activity. Action Codelac Broncho due to the pharmacological properties of its components. Ambroxol has a secretomotor, secretolytic and expectorant action, normalizes the disturbed ratio of serous and mucous components of sputum, increases the secretion of surfactant in the alveoli. It reduces the viscosity of sputum and promotes its discharge. Glycyrrhate (glycyrrhizic acid and its salts) has anti-inflammatory and antiviral effects. It has a cytoprotective effect due to antioxidant and membrane stabilizing activity. Potentiates the action of endogenous corticosteroids, providing anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic effect. Sodium bicarbonate shifts the pH of bronchial mucus to the alkaline side, reduces the viscosity of sputum, stimulates the motor function of ciliated epithelium and bronchioles.
