Composition

Pharmacological effect
Means of plant origin. Aqueous and alcoholic extracts from eucalyptus leaves exhibit bactericidal, antiviral, fungicidal, antiprotozoal and anti-inflammatory effects. The degree of their expression depends on the content of the essential oil (0.3-4.5%). The activity of the main component of the essential oil of cineol (65-85%) potentiates pinene, myrtenol, tannins (up to 6%). When administered by ingestion and inhalation, eucalyptus drugs cause expectorant, mucolytic and bronchodilator effects, and when applied to the skin astringent, anti-exudative, antipruritic, anesthetic, and in higher concentrations, an irritant effect. The infusion of eucalyptus leaves, thanks to the essential oil and a small amount of bitterness, increases the secretion of digestive glands, improves digestion. When used in the form of tincture, a sedative effect is observed, due to aldehyde of isovalerianic acid. Chlorophyllipt, containing a mixture of chlorophylls from eucalyptus leaves, has antimicrobial, especially antistaphylococcal, activity, stimulates regeneration processes. The components of the essential oil together with organic acids, tannins and trace elements by manganese, zinc, selenium increase the resistance of tissues to hypoxia of various origins.
Indications
In the treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the pharynx and upper respiratory tract (pharyngitis, laryngitis, tracheitis), oral cavity (stomatitis, gingivitis).
Contraindications
Increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug, children's age (up to 3 years); For inhalation: bronchial asthma, bronchospasm, whooping cough.
Precautionary measures
With caution used for increased secretion of digestive glands.Do not allow eucalyptus drugs (especially tinctures, eucalyptus oil, chlorophyllipt) into the eyes.
Dosage and administration
Local, inhalation. For rinsing in adults and children older than 3 years, 10-15 drops per glass of water 3-4 times a day, for steam inhalations - 10-15 drops per glass of water 1-2 times a day. The course of treatment is 10 days. If necessary, repeat courses are conducted with two-week breaks (or without them) after consulting a doctor.
