Pharmacological effect

Antiseptic preparation for local use. It has antimicrobial, antifungal, analgesic, coating and deodorizing action. Anti-microbial effect of the drug Maxicold; ENT is associated with the suppression of oxidative metabolic reactions of bacteria (hexatidine - thiamine antagonist). The drug has a broad spectrum of antibacterial and antifungal effects, in particular against gram-positive bacteria and fungi of the genus Candida, but the drug Maxicold; ENT may also have an effect in the treatment of infections caused by, for example, Pseudomonas aeruginosa or Proteus spp. At a concentration of 100 mg / ml, the drug inhibits most strains of bacteria. The development of sustainability was not observed. Maxicold; ENT has a weak anesthetic effect on the mucous membrane.

Pharmacokinetics

After a single application, the local effect of hexatidine lasts 10-12 hours. The preparation is practically not absorbed from the surface of the mucous membranes and does not have a systemic effect.
