Description
Algipor is a modern absorbable wound-healing dressing made on the basis of sodium alginate, a natural polysaccharide secreted from brown seaweed. As an antiseptic it contains Furacilin, active against gram-positive microflora.

Pharmacological effect
Stimulate regeneration processes, have good draining properties (absorb wound discharge), accelerate the cleansing of wounds.
Indications
It is intended for the treatment of burns of grade 2–3a, sluggish wounds, trophic ulcers, pressure sores, nonhealing wounds, including in cancer patients, as well as in the treatment of deep caries and pulpitis in dentistry

Dosage and administration
Algipora-M sheet is applied to the wound surface after pre-treatment with an antiseptic solution. The bandage is applied so that the edges of the sheet by 0.5-1 cm extend beyond the affected area, and fixed with a sticky or gauze bandage. Algipor-M is changed as it gets wet and resorbed on average after 1-3 days. The course of treatment depends on the course of the wound process and ranges from 1 to 10 dressings. At the end of treatment, Algipor-M is left on the wound until rejection along with the eschar.
Side effects
In some cases, in some areas Algipor-M is not lysed, but thickened, forming a crust. If you need to remove compacted Algipora-M, pain can be reduced by soaking it, for example, with furatsilina solution.
Interaction with other drugs
Perhaps a combination of treatment Algipor-M with conventional drug and infusion therapy, as well as a combination or alternation with local antibacterial agents.
