Composition
100 g: liquid extract of thyme herb (Thymus vulgaris) (1: 2-2.5) * 15 goose extract of ivy leaves (Hedera helix) (1: 1) ** 1.5 g * Extragent: according to DAB 10. ** Extragent: ethanol 70 % (by volume). Ethanol content: 19% (by volume). Auxiliary substances: purified water, maltitol syrup, potassium sorbate, citric acid monohydrate.
Pharmacological effect
Expectorant of plant origin. The drug has an expectorant, anti-inflammatory, secretolytic, bronchodilator effect, helps to reduce the viscosity of sputum and accelerate its evacuation.

Indications
- as an expectorant in the treatment of acute and chronic inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract, accompanied by coughing and sputum formation (tracheitis, tracheobronchitis, bronchitis).
Contraindications
- children's age up to 3 months; - hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. Due to the presence of ethanol, it is not recommended to prescribe the drug for alcoholism, epilepsy, liver diseases, diseases and injuries of the brain.
Precautionary measures
Do not exceed recommended doses.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
It is not recommended to take the drug during pregnancy and lactation (breastfeeding).
Dosage and administration
The drug is taken orally, after a meal. When administered according to age: Children aged 3 months to 12 months: 10-16 drops 3 times / day. Children over 1 year old: 17 drops (with the addition of 3 drops for each additional year life) 3 times / day. When prescribed according to body weight: Children aged from 3 months to 12 months: 10–16 drops 3 times / day. Children over 1 year old: according to (total number of drops = 1 drop per kg of body weight + 10 drops) 3 times / day. Using the attached measuring cup: Children aged 3 to 12 months - 1.1 ml 3 times / day; children aged 1 to 2 years - 2.2 ml 3 times / day; children aged 2 to 6 years - 3.2 ml 3 times / day; children aged 6 to 12 years - 4.3 ml 3 times / day; Adolescents from 12 years old and adults - 5.4 ml 3 times / day. Undiluted syrup Bronchipret is recommended to drink water. Before use, the contents of the bottle should be shaken. The course of treatment is 10-14 days. Increasing the duration of therapy and repeated courses of treatment is possible on the recommendation of a doctor.
Side effects
Possible: allergic reactions.
Overdose
Symptoms: possible pain in the stomach, vomiting, diarrhea.
Interaction with other drugs
Syrup Bronchipret should not be used simultaneously with antitussive drugs, as well as drugs that reduce the formation of sputum, because this makes it difficult to cough up diluted sputum. Combination with antibacterial drugs is possible.
special instructions
If, when using the drug for 10-14 days, the symptoms of the disease persist, you should consult a doctor. The preparation contains 7% ethanol (by volume). The maximum recommended single dose of the drug for adults 5.4 ml contains 0.297 g of ethanol. The drug should be prescribed with caution to children (due to the possible negative effect of ethanol). The drug can be administered to diabetic patients, since a single dose contains less than 0.03 grain units considered (CU). During long-term storage, Bronchipret syrup may cloud, which does not affect its effectiveness.
