1 tablet contains: Active substance: clotrimazole 100 mg. Adjuvants: adipic acid - 70 mg, corn starch - 260 mg, colloidal silicon dioxide - 2.67 mg, lactose monohydrate - 483.33 mg, magnesium stearate - 4 mg, methyl parahydroxybenzoate - 0.8 mg, sodium bicarbonate - 54.67 mg, sodium carboxymethyl starch - 42 mg, povidone K-30 - 12.67 mg, propyl parahydroxybenzoate - 0.2 mg, talc - 10 mg.
Pharmacological effect
Antifungal. Violates the synthesis of ergosterol, which is part of the cell membrane of fungi, which causes a change in its structure and properties and leads to lysis of the cell.
Pharmacokinetics
Resorption is 3-10% of the administered dose.
Indications
- Genital infections caused by yeast-like fungi of the genus Candida and / or Ttrichomonas vaginalis (vulvovaginal candidiasis, trichomoniasis); - Genital superinfection caused by microorganisms sensitive to clotrimazole; - Rehabilitation of the birth canal before birth.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to clotrimazole; - I trimester of pregnancy. With caution: lactation.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
In clinical and experimental studies it has not been established that the use of Candida-B6 during pregnancy and during breastfeeding adversely affects the health of the woman or the fetus. However, the question of the appointment of the drug should be decided by the doctor individually. In this case, the use of the applicator is not recommended.
Dosage and administration
The drug is used intravaginally. Tablets should be administered as deep as possible into the vagina, lying on your back with slightly bent legs. Assign 100 mg (1 tab.) 1 time / day (evening) for 6 days. A repeated course of treatment is possible after consulting a doctor. For the rehabilitation of the birth canal before childbirth, a single injection of 1 tablet is recommended. Instructions for using the applicator1. Slide the applicator piston all the way. Place one vaginal tablet in the applicator. Carefully insert the applicator with the tablet as deep as possible into the vagina (preferably in the supine position with slightly bent legs) .3. Insert the pill into the vagina, slowly pressing the applicator piston to the stop. Remove the applicator.After use and before re-use, completely remove the piston from the applicator, wash the piston and the applicator with warm (not hot) soapy water and wipe dry.
Side effects
Possible: itching, burning and swelling of the mucous membrane of the vagina, vaginal discharge, headache, gastralgia, frequent urination, intercurrent cystitis, burning sensation in the penis of the sexual partner, pain during sexual intercourse.
Interaction with other drugs
When administered vaginally, it reduces the activity of amphotericin B and other polyene antibiotics. When used simultaneously with nystatin, Candida-B6 activity may decrease.
special instructions
To prevent urogenital reinfection, simultaneous treatment of both sexual partners is necessary. In trichomoniasis, other drugs with a systemic effect, such as metronidazole, should be prescribed for more successful treatment in conjunction with Candid B6. Menstrual pills are not recommended during menstruation.
