Composition
1 tube contains: Dexpanthenol 2.5 g Auxiliary substances: ketomacrogol, cetearyl octanoate, cetanol, dimethicone, glyceryl monostearate, propylene glycol, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, purified water, flavoring Seaside.
Pharmacological effect
Belongs to vitamins of group B, is a derivative of pantothenic acid. It plays an important role in the processes of acetylation and oxidation, participates in carbohydrate and fat metabolism, in the synthesis of acetylcholine, corticosteroids, porphyrins. It has a pronounced effect on the formation and function of epithelial tissue, has some anti-inflammatory activity.
Pharmacokinetics
Dexpanthenol is rapidly absorbed by the skin (quickly absorbed) and turns into pantothenic acid. It binds to plasma proteins (mainly albumin and β-globulin).
Indications
- in children - diaper dermatitis, scratches, minor irritations after exposure to the sun, ultraviolet and X-rays, for the treatment and prevention of diaper rash; - cracks and inflammation of the nipples in nursing mothers; - violations of the integrity of the skin caused by mechanical, chemical, temperature factors or after surgery (burns of various origins (including sunburn), scratches, abrasions, wounds, bedsores, poorly healing skin grafts, aseptic postoperative wounds); - inflammatory skin processes, dermatitis, boils, trophic ulcers of the lower extremities, skin care around tracheostomy, gastrostomy, colostum; - treatment and prevention of the effects of adverse effects on the skin of external factors s medium (including cold, wind, humidity).

Dosage and administration
Cream or ointment is applied with a thin layer on the affected area, slightly rubbing, 2-4 times / day (more often if necessary).In the case of application to the infected surface of the skin, it should be pre-treated with an antiseptic. Nursing mothers lubricate the nipple with ointment after each feeding. Apply ointment to infants after each change of linen or water treatment.
Side effects
When applied according to indications and recommended doses, side effects were not observed.
Overdose
Dexpanthenol, even in high doses, is well tolerated and non-toxic. Cases of hypervitaminosis are unknown.
Interaction with other drugs
As a precaution regarding possible interactions (antagonism or inactivation) should not be used simultaneously with other antiseptics.
