Pharmacological effect
Laxative for topical use. It has a slight irritating effect on the mucous membrane of the rectum and reflexively stimulates peristalsis. It helps to soften the feces. When applied externally, it has a dermato-protective effect, softens the skin and mucous membranes.
Indications
Constipation of various origins (including habitual, age, with limited mobility). Dryness of the skin and mucous membranes (for external use).
Contraindications
Hemorrhoids in the acute phase, anal fissures, inflammatory diseases and rectal tumors; hypersensitivity to glycerol.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Perhaps the use of glycerol during pregnancy and lactation (breastfeeding) according to indications.
Dosage and administration
Rectal - 1 time / day, preferably 15-20 minutes after breakfast. Outside - lubricate the affected areas as needed.
Side effects
With prolonged external use: irritation, allergic reactions. With prolonged rectal use: the phenomenon of irritation of the rectum, the weakening of the physiological process of defecation.
special instructions
Systematic reception is not recommended. When used as a laxative, treatment is stopped after the restoration of normal intestinal motility.
