Composition
100 g of ointment contains: Dioxomethyltetrahydropyrimidine (methyluracil) 10 g. Additional substances: petrolatum - 45 g, anhydrous lanolin - 31.5 g, purified water - 13.5 g.
Pharmacological effect
Immunostimulating agent, dioxomethyltetrahydropyrimidine. It helps normalize the exchange of nucleic acids, accelerates cell regeneration processes in wounds, accelerates growth and granulation tissue maturation and epithelialization (including in fast proliferating cells of the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract), stimulates erythroma and leukopoiesis, cellular and humoral immunity factors. It has anabolic activity, anti-inflammatory action. When applied externally, it also has a photoprotective effect.
Indications
As an epithelial agent for: wounds; burns; photodermatosis; dermatitis; bedsores; diaper rash; abscesses; boils
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the drug.

Dosage forms of methyluracil should be applied strictly according to appropriate indications.

The drug can be used during pregnancy, lactation.
Dosage and administration
The ointment is applied to the damaged areas daily to 5-10 g daily for 15 to 30 days. Ointment is used in loose tampons with radiation dermatitis and late radiation damage to the vagina.
Side effects
Extremely rare: hyperemia, itching.
Interaction with other drugs
Methyluracil ointment is compatible with external applications of sulfonamides, antibiotics and antiseptics.
