Methyluracil 0.5 g
Pharmacological effect
Immunostimulating agent, dioxomethyltetrahydropyrimidine. It helps normalize the exchange of nucleic acids, accelerates cell regeneration processes in wounds, accelerates growth and granulation tissue maturation and epithelialization (including in fast proliferating cells of the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract), stimulates erythroma and leukopoiesis, cellular and humoral immunity factors. It has anabolic activity, anti-inflammatory action. When applied externally, it also has a photoprotective effect.
Indications
For local use: proctitis, sigmoiditis, ulcerative colitis.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to methyluracil. For external and local use: excessive granulation in the wound.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Pregnant women can use Methyluracil normally, because the drug does not harm the baby.
Dosage and administration
Rectal use in adults is 0.5-1 g 3-4 times / day, in children aged 3-8 years - 250 mg / day, at the age of 8-15 years - 500 mg / day. The course of treatment - from 1 week. up to 4 months
