Indications
Mucosate is prescribed for the treatment of degenerative-dystrophic diseases of the spine and joints (in case of primary arthrosis, osteoarthrosis with damage to large joints, intervertebral osteoarthrosis), in fractures, osteoporosis, and periodontal diseases. Mucosat is effective in the postoperative period of patients undergoing joint surgery.
Contraindications
Mucosat is contraindicated in patients with individual hypersensitivity, as well as with a high tendency to bleeding and thrombophlebitis. The drug is not prescribed to children (injectable form of the drug), during lactation and pregnancy (due to the lack of data on efficacy and safety).
Dosage and administration
Mucosa are ingested and administered intramuscularly. For oral administration: adults take 0.75 g twice a day for the first three weeks, then 0.5 g twice a day. Children from 5 years old should take 0.5-0.75 Mucosat in pills or capsules g, at the age of 1-5 years - at 0.5 g, patients up to a year - at 0.25 g. Mucosate capsules should be taken with water. Mucosat is administered intramuscularly every other day at 0.1 g (1.0); starting with 4 injections, the dose is increased to 0.2 g. The duration of therapy is 25-35 injections. If necessary, you can repeat the course of therapy after six months.
Side effects
With the use of Mucosate, allergic reactions may develop. When using the drug solution, hemorrhages may appear at the injection site. The appearance of side effects requires discontinuation of the drug.
