Composition
1 g ointment contains the Active ingredient: benzocaine 200 mg (20%). Excipients: mineral oil 120 mg (12%), petrolatum 647 mg (64.7%), propylene glycol 20 mg (2%), methyl parahydroxybenzoate 2.4 mg (0.24%), propyl parahydroxybenzoate 0.6 mg (0, 06%), sorbitan monostearate 10 mg (1%).
Pharmacological effect
Benzocaine has a local anesthetic effect, does not have a resorptive effect.
Indications
Local anesthetic for hemorrhoids, anal fissures, after proctological operations, during diagnostic procedures.
Contraindications
Increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug, thromboembolic disease, granulocytopenia.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Pregnant women and nursing mothers should be prescribed with caution in cases where the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus or child.
Dosage and administration
The drug should be used after hygiene. Remove protective cap from applicator. Attach the applicator to the tube and squeeze out a small amount of ointment to lubricate the applicator. Ointment is carefully applied through the applicator to the affected areas outside or inside the anus up to 4 times a day, in the morning, in the evening, and after each bowel movement. After each use, rinse the applicator thoroughly and place it in a protective cap. Children under 12 years of age should be used only on the recommendation of a doctor.

Allergic reactions, local reactions (hyperemia, itching).
Overdose
Overdose symptoms may be related to the pharmacological effects of benzocaine. Its systemic absorption in overdose may be manifested by drowsiness, anxiety, agitation, and in severe cases, convulsions. It is extremely rare that large doses of benzocaine can cause methemoglobinemia, which is manifested by respiratory disorders and cyanosis. Intravenous administration of methylene blue is a specific agent in the treatment of this condition.
