Description
The Sampler Van Tach Ultra Soft Pen piercing pen is an easy-to-use and safe mechanism for painlessly obtaining a capillary blood sample. The handle is equipped with a regulator that allows you to select one of seven possible levels of finger piercing depth. Replacing a conventional pen cap with a OneTouch UltraClear cap allows you to get a blood sample not only from your finger, but also from your hand (shoulder / forearm). The non-contact lancet removal mechanism reduces the risk of infection.

Indications
Using. Step 1: Install the lancet, turn the knob cap counterclockwise and remove it. Insert the lancet into the lancet holder and press it firmly to lock it into place. Do not bend the lancet. Turn the protective disk and separate it from the lancet. Replace the cap cap. Turn it clockwise until it locks into place. Adjust the puncture depth if necessary. Rotate the puncture depth control towards the smaller tubercles to decrease the puncture depth, and toward the larger tubercles so that the puncture is deeper. Step 2: Cock the handle and pull the lever back on the handle until it clicks. If there is no click, the pen may have been cocked during the installation of the lancet. The pen is now ready for use. Step H: Wash your hands and the puncture site with warm water and soap and dry thoroughly.
Precautionary measures
Use a finger to get a blood sample whenever there is a likelihood of hypoglycemia (due to the introduction of insulin), and especially when you have asymptomatic hypoglycemia (no symptoms indicating insulin action), as a blood test taken from the hand cannot always immediately reveal hypoglycemia. The piercing pen and lancet are for personal use only. Use the new UltraSoft Lancet each time. Keep pen and lancets clean.
