Pharmacological effect

Combined preparation based on bee venom for external use. It has a local irritant effect due to the stimulation of peripheral nerve endings. It has a direct vasodilating effect, which leads to an improved supply of oxygen to tissues; accelerates the breakdown of pain-causing metabolic products. Methyl salicylate and allyl isothiocyanate cause hyperemia of the skin, have analgesic and warming effects. Apizartron helps activate metabolism, increase the elasticity of connective tissue and muscles, and decrease muscle tone. The effect develops in a few minutes after applying the drug to the affected area.

Indications

- Diseases of the musculoskeletal system (osteoarthritis, rheumatic soft tissue damage). - Arthralgia (including rheumatic diseases of the joints). - Myalgia (including those associated with overstrain. - Neuralgia (including neuritis, sciatica.). Peripheral blood circulation disorders. Pain syndrome with mild lesions of muscles, tendons, ligaments, bruises and sprains. For warming up muscles before and during sports activities.

Contraindications

Use during pregnancy and lactation

Dosage and administration

Spread a strip of ointment 3–5 cm in length evenly over the skin (about 1 mm thick) until redness and heat sensation appear (2–3 min). After that, slowly and intensively rub the ointment into the skin. To enhance the therapeutic effect, it is recommended to keep the treated areas warm.Apply 2-3 times a day until the symptoms disappear (no more than 10 days). After applying Apizartron, wash hands thoroughly with soap and water.
