Pharmacological effect
The irritant, which is obtained from the freshwater sponge of the badyagi, is a colony of intestinal cavities - Spongilla lacustris fragilis, Ephydatia fliviatilis. The sponge lives only in exceptionally clean freshwater bodies with running water and at certain temperatures. an organic substance - spongin. It also includes phosphates, carbonates and organic substances. Badyag action is based on mechanical irritation of the skin, due to the content of silicon needles.
Indications
Local irritant for osteochondrosis, radiculitis, rheumatic pains, neuralgic pains, as well as bruises and sprains.
Contraindications
It should not be used for hypertrichosis, acute inflammatory elements, very sensitive skin, scratches and cuts in places of the intended application of the drug.
Dosage and administration
Outwardly. In case of bruises and bruises: add boiled water to the powder, stir until a mushy mass is obtained, apply with a tampon on the skin and with fingers (in rubber gloves) rub into the skin; 20 minutes after drying, rinse with water. For radiculitis, rheumatic and neuralgic pains: add vegetable oil to the powder, stir it; rub the resulting mass in the affected areas. With a strong burning sensation, rinse with water, with a light burn - leave for a day.
