Pharmacological effect

Experimental data show that parenteral administration of drugs containing low molecular weight peptides derived from the brain of cattle and pigs, increase the rate of penetration of glucose in violation of the blood-brain barrier, affecting the level of its consumption in the damaged brain, and also show a positive effect violation of metabolic processes of the brain. In addition, drugs containing biologically active neuropeptides help reduce the level of cerebral lactic acid concentration. For drugs derived from the hydrolysates of the brain of cattle and pigs, there is a quantitative assessment of the clinical improvement of neurophysiological indicators, obtained using psychometric tests for all age groups.

Pharmacokinetics

Pharmacokinetic analysis is difficult because of the complex composition of cerebrolysate, including the sum of free amino acids and peptides.

Indications

As part of the complex therapy of cerebrovascular insufficiency (dyscirculatory encephalopathy, ischemic stroke (acute phase and rehabilitation stage), the state after hemorrhagic stroke, traumatic brain damage (brain concussion, traumatic brain injury, condition after surgery on the brain, post-traumatic asthenic syndrome), encephalopathy of various origins, myelopathy, neuropathy, radiculopathy of various genesis (infectious, toxic, traumatic), cerebral palsy, decreased concentration of attention in children.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, severe renal failure, status epilepticus, pregnancy.
