Description
Cerebrolysate - solution for intramuscular injection in 1 ml ampoules. It consists of 10 ampoules with instructions for use, an ampoule knife or an ampoule scarifier in a pack or box of cardboard. When packaging ampoules with a kink or break point, the ampoule knife or scarifier is not inserted.

Composition
Active substance: a cattle brain hydrolyzate containing amino acids and peptides, including free amino acids: L-Aspartic acid - 0.90-3.70 mg, L-Threonine - 0.70-2.10 mg, L- Serine - 0.50-2.90 mg, L-Glutamic acid - 3.75-6.25 mg, L-Proline - 0.70-1.70 mg, Glycine - 0.70-2.10 mg, L -Alanine - 1.75-5.25 mg, L-Valine - 1.35-4.05 mg, L-Methionine - 0.65-1.95 mg, L-Isoleucine - 0.90-2.30 mg , L-Leucine - 2.00-6.00 mg, L-Tyrosine - 0.13-0.63 mg, L-Phenylalanine - 0.50-1.50 mg, L-Histidine - 0.30-1, 30 mg, L-Lysine - 0.95-2.85 mg, L-Arginine - 0.40-2.90 mg. Auxiliary substance: phenol - 2.5-3.0 mg.
Pharmacological effect
Experimental data show that parenteral administration of drugs containing low molecular weight peptides derived from the brain of cattle and pigs, increase the rate of penetration of glucose in violation of the blood-brain barrier, affecting the level of its consumption in the damaged brain, and also show a positive effect violation of metabolic processes of the brain. In addition, drugs containing biologically active neuropeptides help reduce the level of cerebral lactic acid concentration. For drugs derived from the hydrolysates of the brain of cattle and pigs, there is a quantitative assessment of the clinical improvement of neurophysiological indicators, obtained using psychometric tests for all age groups.
Pharmacokinetics
Pharmacokinetic analysis is difficult because of the complex composition of cerebrolysate, including the sum of free amino acids and peptides.
Indications
As part of the complex therapy of cerebrovascular insufficiency (dyscirculatory encephalopathy, ischemic stroke (acute phase and rehabilitation stage), the state after hemorrhagic stroke, traumatic brain damage (brain concussion, traumatic brain injury,condition after surgery on the brain, post-traumatic asthenic syndrome), encephalopathy of various origins, myelopathy, neuropathy, radiculopathy of various genesis (infectious, toxic, traumatic), cerebral palsy, decreased concentration of attention in children.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, severe renal failure, status epilepticus, pregnancy.
Precautionary measures
To use with caution in allergic diathesis, breastfeeding period.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Use during pregnancy is contraindicated. If necessary, use during breastfeeding should decide on the termination of breastfeeding.
Dosage and administration
Introduced intramuscularly in 1-5 ml daily or every other day. The course of treatment is 20 injections. After a 3-6 month break, treatment with cerebrolysate can be repeated (after consulting a doctor). In neuropediatric practice - intramuscularly, 1-2 ml (up to 1 ml per 10 kg of body weight) for 10-15 days, with a course repeated 2-3 times a year.
Side effects
Injections of the drug in some cases cause local pain, irritation, hyperemia. Allergic reactions, increased blood pressure (with concomitant hypertension) are possible.
Overdose
Overdose cases have not yet been reported.
Interaction with other drugs
The simultaneous use of cerebrolysate with antidepressants can cause an increase in their action.
