Pharmacological effect
Hyaluronic acid, a biopolymer of the mucopolysaccharide type, is an important element of the intercellular substance. In the process of tissue regeneration, the local concentration of hyaluronic acid increases, which creates optimal conditions for activation, migration and proliferation of the cells involved in this process. In Curiosin, hyaluronic acid is in the form of zinc hyaluronate, which has an antimicrobial effect. In addition to the two most important factors that play a role in the pathomechanism of acne (hyperplasia of the sebaceous gland and hyperkeratinization of the excretory duct of the follicle), biologically active substances that are formed and released under the action of Propionibacterium acnes are important. As a result of these pathological changes, the balance is disturbed and the concentration of hyaluronic acid in the tissues decreases.
