Bendazole 20 mg.
Pharmacokinetics
Antispasmodic myotropic action, benzimidazole derivative. It has a spasmolytic effect on the smooth muscles of blood vessels and internal organs. Lowers blood pressure by reducing cardiac output and the expansion of peripheral vessels. The antihypertensive activity of bendazole is very mild, and the effect is short. It causes a short expansion of the cerebral vessels. It facilitates synaptic transmission in the spinal cord. Immunostimulating activity is associated with regulation of the ratio of cGMP and cAMP concentrations in immune cells (increases cGMP content), which leads to the proliferation of mature sensitized T and B lymphocytes, their secretion of mutual regulation factors, cooperative reaction and activation of the final effector function of cells.
Indications
Arterial hypertension, hypertensive crisis. Spasms of smooth muscles of internal organs (including the stomach, intestines). Residual effects of poliomyelitis, peripheral facial nerve palsy.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to bendazole.
Dosage and administration
Relief of hypertensive crisis - in / in or in / m 30-40 mg. Exacerbation of arterial hypertension with a significant increase in blood pressure - in / m 20-30 mg 2-3 times / day, the course of treatment is 8-14 days. Inside - 20-50 mg 2-3 times / day for 3-4 weeks. In the treatment of nervous diseases - adults at a dose of 5 mg 1 time / day or every other day for 5-10 days, after 3-4 weeks, repeat the treatment. In the future, courses are conducted with a break of 1-2 months. For children, depending on age, the dose is 1-5 mg 1 time / day.
Side effects
Possible: allergic reactions. With prolonged use: deterioration of ECG due to a decrease in cardiac output. When used in high doses: feeling of heat, increased sweating, dizziness, nausea, headache.
Interaction with other drugs
With simultaneous use with antihypertensive drugs, diuretics, it is possible to enhance the antihypertensive effect. Simultaneous use of bendazole prevents an increase in OPSS caused by beta-adrenoblockers. When used simultaneously, phentolamine enhances the hypotensive effect of bendazole.
