Pharmacological effect
Bisacodil is a topical laxative from the group of diphenylmethane derivatives. As a local laxative with antiresorptive effect, Bisacodil after hydrolysis in the large intestine increases the secretion of water and electrolytes in the large intestine, accelerates and increases its motility. This leads to the stimulation of defecation, reducing the time of evacuation and softening of the stool. The action is due to the direct stimulation of the nerve endings in the mucous membrane of the large intestine.

Contraindications

Use during pregnancy and lactation

Dosage and administration

Side effects
