Pharmacological effect

Indications
Chronic cholecystitis, biliary tract dyskinesia.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the drug, obstructive jaundice, exacerbation of peptic ulcer, acute inflammatory diseases of the liver and biliary tract. Children's age up to 5 years.
Dosage and administration
Assign adults and children older than 5 years inside, 30 minutes before a meal, washed down with a small amount of water. Adults are prescribed 50 mg (1 tablet) 3 times a day; if necessary, the dose can be increased to 100 mg (2 pills) 2-3 times a day. Children of 5–10 years old are prescribed 50 mg (1 tablet) once a day, 10–14 years old - 50 mg (1 tablet) 2 times per day. The duration of treatment is 10-40 days (depending on the form and course of the disease). If necessary, the treatment can be repeated after a break of at least 5 days.
Side effects
Rarely allergic reactions; increased blood pressure (in patients with arterial hypertension).
Interaction with other drugs
Increase the activity of metronidazole and aminoquinol in the treatment of giardiasis.
