Description
Active against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria (including Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Escherichia coli, Clostridium perfringens). Effective with microbial resistance to other antimicrobial agents (not from the nitrofuran group). Resistance to nitrofural develops slowly and does not reach a high degree.

Pharmacological effect
Active against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria (including Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Escherichia coli, Clostridium perfringens). Effective with microbial resistance to other antimicrobial agents (not from the nitrofuran group). It has a different mechanism of action from other chemotherapeutic agents: microbial flavoproteins restore the 5-nitro group, and the highly reacted amino derivatives change the conformation of proteins, including ribosomal, and other macromolecules, causing cell death. Resilience develops slowly and does not reach a high degree.
Pharmacokinetics
With local and external use, absorption is insignificant. It penetrates histohematogenous barriers and is evenly distributed in fluids and tissues. The main path of metabolism - the restoration of the nitro group. Excreted by the kidneys and partly with bile.
Indications
Tonsillitis, stomatitis, gingivitis, blepharitis, conjunctivitis, purulent wounds, bedsores, II – III burns, minor skin lesions (including abrasions, scratches, cracks, cuts).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, bleeding, allergic dermatosis.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
May be used during pregnancy and lactation.
Dosage and administration
With tonsillitis, stomatitis, gingivitis - 20 mg (1 tablet) is dissolved in 100 ml of water, mouth and throat rinsing 100 ml 2-3 times a day, when blepharitis, conjunctivitis - instilled water solution into the conjunctival sac. In the form of water 0, 02% solution - irrigate wounds and apply wet dressings.
Side effects
Allergic reactions are possible: pruritus, dermatitis.
