Composition

Pharmacological effect

Vasoconstrictor drug for local use in ENT practice. Alpha-adrenomimetik from the group of imidazole derivatives. In low concentrations acts on? 2 -adrenoreceptors, in high concentrations has an effect on? 1 -adrenoreceptors. When applied topically, it causes narrowing of the blood vessels, which leads to a decrease in edema and hyperemia of the mucous membranes of the nasopharynx, reduces the amount of nasal secretions, and facilitates nasal breathing in rhinitis. The action of the drug begins after 5-10 minutes and lasts for 5-6 hours when used in the form of nasal drops and for 10 hours when used in the form of a nasal gel.

Indications

Contraindications

Dosage and administration
