Composition
1 ml of the nasal spray solution contains: Active substance: framycetin sulfate - 12.5 mg (8 thousand IU). Auxiliary substances: methyl parahydroxybenzoate, sodium chloride, citric acid, distilled water.
Pharmacological effect
Aminoglycoside antibiotic for topical use in otorhinolaryngology. Effective bactericidal. Active against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, causing the development of infectious processes in the upper respiratory tract.
Pharmacokinetics
Studies of the pharmacokinetics of the drug Isofra were not conducted due to low systemic absorption.
Indications
As part of combination therapy for infectious and inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract, including: Rhinitis, Rhinopharyngitis, Sinusitis (in the absence of septal damage). Prevention and treatment of inflammatory processes after surgery.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to framycetin and other aminoglycoside antibiotics.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Adequate and strictly controlled clinical studies of the safety of the drug Isofra during pregnancy and lactation (breastfeeding) was not conducted.
Dosage and administration
Adults: 1 injection is prescribed in each nostril 4-6 times a day. Children: 1 injection is prescribed 3 times a day in each nostril. The average duration of a course of therapy is 7 days. When used, the bottle should be kept upright.
Side effects
Allergic reactions: in isolated cases - skin manifestations.
Overdose
Due to the low degree of absorption into the systemic circulation, overdose is unlikely.
Interaction with other drugs
No clinically significant drug interactions with other drugs have been identified.

If within 7 days of treatment the therapeutic effect is absent or weakly expressed, the drug Isofra should be discontinued.
