Methyluracil 500 mg
Pharmacological effect
Immunostimulating agent, dioxomethyltetrahydropyrimidine. It helps normalize the exchange of nucleic acids, accelerates cell regeneration processes in wounds, accelerates growth and granulation tissue maturation and epithelialization (including in fast proliferating cells of the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract), stimulates erythroma and leukopoiesis, cellular and humoral immunity factors. It has anabolic activity, anti-inflammatory action. When applied externally, it also has a photoprotective effect.
Indications
For oral administration: leukopenia (mild forms, including those resulting from chemotherapy of malignant neoplasms, with X-ray and radiation therapy), agranulocyte angina, alimentary-toxic aleukia, anemia, thrombocytopenia, intoxication with benzol, radiation sickness, convalescence (after severe infections), peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, sluggish wounds, burns, bone fractures, hepatitis, pancreatitis. For external use: sluggish wounds, burns, bone fractures, photodermatitis, trophic ulcers, p olezhni deep rany.Dlya topical: proctitis, sigmoid, ulcerative colitis
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to methyluracil. For oral administration: leukemia (leukemic forms, especially myeloid), Hodgkin's disease, hemoblastosis, malignant diseases of the bone marrow. For external and local use: excessive granulation in the wound.
Use during pregnancy and lactation

Dosage and administration
Inside, during or after a meal, 500 mg 4 times / day (if necessary up to 6 times / day), for children from 3 to 8 years old - 250 mg each, older than 8 years - 250-500 mg 3 times / day . The course for diseases of the gastrointestinal tract - 30-40 days, in other cases it may be less long.
Side effects
