Sodium citrate 90 mg Sodium lauryl sulfoacetate 70% 12.9 mg, which corresponds to the sodium content of lauryl sulfoacetate 9 mg. The solution of sorbitol is 70% 893 mg, which corresponds to the content of sorbitol 625 mg.
Pharmacological effect
Combined laxative drug. Sodium citrate is a peptizer that displaces the bound water contained in fecal masses. Sodium lauryl sulfoacetate dilutes the intestinal contents. Sorbitol enhances the laxative effect by stimulating the flow of water into the intestines. The increase in the amount of water due to peptization and liquefaction contributes to the softening of the feces and facilitates the process of bowel emptying. The weakening effect occurs 5-15 minutes after taking the drug.
