Composition
In 1 suppositories: sodium alginate 250 mg. Excipients: solid fat (Witepsol, supposire) - sufficient amount to obtain a suppository weighing 2.25 g.
Pharmacological effect
Hemostatic preparation for local use. The active substance is sodium alginate, a natural polysaccharide derived from brown algae. It has a pronounced hemostatic effect, has anti-inflammatory and reparative properties.

Pharmacokinetics of the drug has not been studied.
Indications
- chronic anal fissures in the epithelialization stage; - chronic bleeding hemorrhoids; - proctosigmoiditis; - inflammation of the rectum in the postoperative period.
Contraindications
- children's age up to 14 years; - hypersensitivity to the drug components.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Natalsid is not contraindicated for use during pregnancy and lactation.
Dosage and administration
The drug should be used rectally. The suppository is injected into the rectum after spontaneous bowel movements or cleansing enemas, pre-moistened with water. Adults and children over 14 years old are prescribed 1 suppository 2 times / day. Duration of treatment is 7-14 days.
