Pharmacological effect
The drug belongs to the group of NSAIDs. The active component of choline salicylate is a derivative of salicylic acid, in the body it inhibits the activity of cyclooxygenase. It is an enzyme that determines the process of prostaglandin synthesis. Also, the active component inhibits the synthesis of prostacyclin and thromboxane. After instillation into the ear, analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects of the agent are noted. An antifungal and antimicrobial effect is also observed in alkaline and acidic environments.
Pharmacokinetics
When Otinum is applied, there is no local systemic effect.

Analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic.
Contraindications
You should not use this drug in the following cases: a combination of bronchial asthma, nasal polyposis and sinuses recurrent and intolerance to NSAIDs (also in history); impaired integrity of the eardrum; children's age (data on the application are not available); the period of pregnancy and breastfeeding; gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer in the acute phase, disorders of the hematopoietic system, hypersensitivity
Precautionary measures

Dosage and administration
Drops in the ear otinum with otitis, earwax should be instilled into the ear canal three to four times a day, dripping 3-4 drops into each ear. The treatment lasts no more than ten days. If you need to use the drug before removing the sulfur plugs, then its use begins 4 days before the procedure. Every day you need to drop 3-4 drops of Otinum into the ear canal twice a day.The dosage is similar in the treatment of elderly people and those patients who have impaired renal and hepatic functions. The effect comes in a few minutes and lasts 2 - 3 hours
Side effects
The use of this drug may cause the following negative effects: • burning sensation; • allergic manifestations. With prolonged use of the tool, as well as in the treatment of people who have been diagnosed with perforation of the eardrum, hearing loss is possible.
Overdose
Cases of drug overdose do not occur when it is applied topically
Interaction with other drugs
This drug increases the effects of other anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic drugs.
