Composition

Pharmacological effect

The therapeutic effect of the drug Polydex is due to the anti-inflammatory effect of dexamethasone and the antibacterial effect of the antibiotics neomycin and polymyxin B. The combination of these antibiotics expands the range of antibacterial action on most gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms that cause infectious and inflammatory diseases of the external and middle ear. Neomycin is active against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae.
