Composition
1 ml contains: phenylephrine 2.5 mg, dimetindene maleate 250 mcg. Auxiliary substances: benzalkonium chloride (preservative), citric acid monohydrate, anhydrous disodium phosphate, sorbitol, detergent extract from lavender, methylhydroxypropylcellulose, purified water.
Pharmacological effect
Vibrocyl is a combined drug containing phenylephrine and dimetinden. Phenylephrine is a sympathomimetic agent, when applied topically, it has a moderate vasoconstrictor effect (due to stimulation of alpha1-adrenergic receptors located in the venous vessels of the nasal mucosa), eliminates swelling of the nasal mucosa and its adipose bile. is antiallergic antagonist of histamine H1 receptors; does not reduce the activity of the ciliated epithelium of the nasal mucosa.
Pharmacokinetics
Vibrocil is intended for topical use, and its activity does not depend on the concentration of active substances in the blood plasma.
Indications
Acute rhinitis (including rhinitis with colds); allergic rhinitis (including during hay fever); vasomotor rhinitis; chronic rhinitis; acute and chronic sinusitis; acute otitis media (as an auxiliary method of treatment). Preparation for surgical procedures in the area of the nose and elimination of edema of the nasal mucosa and paranasal sinuses after surgical procedures in this area.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. Atrophic rhinitis (including with offensive discharge - ozena). Acceptance of MAO inhibitors (at the same time or in the previous 14 days). It is used with caution in patients with arterial hypertension, arrhythmias, cardiovascular diseases, as well as in patients with generalized atherosclerosis, thyroid diseases, angle-closure glaucoma, adenoma of the prostate, insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus. As with the use of any local vasoconstrictor agents, caution should be exercised when prescribing Vibrocil in patients with severe reactions to sympathomimetics ( for example, with the development of insomnia and dizziness).
Use during pregnancy and lactation
The drug is not recommended to be taken during pregnancy without the recommendation of a doctor.
Dosage and administration
Adults and children over 6 years old are prescribed 3-4 drops in each nasal passage 3-4 times a day. Children (from 1 to 6 years old) are prescribed only as drops in the nose (1-2 drops in each nasal passage 3 - 4 times a day. For children up to 1 year (prescribed only as drops in the nose) - 1 drop in each nasal passage 3-4 times a day. Side effects

Overdose
If Vibrocil is accidentally taken orally by young children, there are no serious side effects. In most cases, overdose symptoms were absent, however, sometimes symptoms such as fatigue, pain in the stomach, tachycardia, hypertension, agitation, insomnia, pallor of the skin (most often in children with occasional ingestion) were reported. Interaction with other drugs
Phenylephrine (as well as other vasoconstrictor agents) is contraindicated in patients who have received MAO inhibitors at this time or have received them for the previous 2 weeks. It should not be given at the same time a drug with tri- and tetracyclic antidepressants, beta-adrenoblockers.

Vibrocil should not be used for more than 1 week without consulting a doctor. Long-term (more than 2 weeks) or excessive use of the drug can cause tachyphylaxis, and the effect of rebound (rhinitis medication), lead to the development of a systemic vasoconstrictor action. Do not exceed the recommended dose of Vibrocil! Otherwise, development of manifestations of the systemic action of the drug is possible. In children younger than 6 years of age, only nasal drops are used. Vibrocil has no sedative effect (does not affect the speed of psychomotor reactions). It can be used during lactation. Phenylephrine (like other vasoconstrictor agents) ) is contraindicated in patientsreceiving MAO inhibitors at a given time or receiving them within the previous 2 weeks.
