Composition
On 1 ml: tetrizolina hydrochloride 500 mcg. Excipients: boric acid, sodium tetraborate decahydrate, disodium edetate dihydrate, benzalkonium chloride, purified water.
Pharmacological effect
Alpha adrenomimetic. It has a vasoconstrictor and anti-edema effect. When applied topically, it reduces the swelling of the conjunctiva, burning sensation, soreness of the mucous membrane of the eyes, and lacrimation. The vasoconstrictor effect develops within a few minutes and lasts 4-8 hours.
Pharmacokinetics
When applied topically, systemic absorption is low.
Indications
- mild eye irritation: itching, swelling and hyperemia of the conjunctiva, burning, tearing, scleral injection caused by chemical and physical factors (dust, cosmetics, swimming in chlorinated water, the action of bright light or radiation from a computer monitor); - allergic conjunctivitis.
Contraindications

Precautionary measures

Use during pregnancy and lactation

Dosage and administration
Adults and children older than 3 years old are instilled 1-2 drops 2-3 times a day in the lower conjunctival sac of the affected eye. If within 48 hours there has been no improvement, stop further use of the drug and consult a doctor.
Side effects
Local reactions: increased intraocular pressure, burning sensation and reactive hyperemia of the eye; rarely - dilated pupil. Overdose
The development of systemic symptoms of overdose is possible with accidental or deliberate intake of the drug inside or overdosing with local use. Symptoms: pupil dilation, nausea, cyanosis, fever, convulsions, arrhythmias, hypertension, pulmonary edema, dyspnea. Excessive systemic absorption of imidazole derivatives can lead to CNS depression, accompanied by drowsiness, hypothermia, bradycardia, collapse, apnea and coma. The risk of overdose symptoms associated with the absorption of the drug is high in young children, especially if swallowed.
