OMNITUS is a centrally acting antitussive agent. Butamirate citrate is neither chemically nor pharmacologically related to the opium alkaloids. Has a direct effect on the cough center. It has an expectorant, moderate bronchodilating and anti-inflammatory effect. Improves spirometry indicators and blood oxygenation.
