Benzyl Benzoate ointment 20% is an antiparasitic agent for topical use. Used to get rid of scabies mites, as well as lice.

Pharmacological effect
Antiparasitic agent for external use. Active against scabby mites, as well as lice. Under the action of benzyl benzoate, the death of scabby mites occurs in 7-32 minutes, lice - in 2-5 hours.
Indications
Scabies treatment.
Dosage and administration
The course of treatment lasts 4 days. Adults appoint 20% ointment, and children - 10%. On the first day, the treatment is carried out in the evening before bedtime after thorough washing in the shower with warm water and soap. Ointment rubbed into the skin of the hands, then the torso and legs, including the soles and fingers. After skin treatment, use only clean underwear and clothing. On the 2nd and 3rd days they take a break in treatment, while the remains of the ointment are not washed off the skin. On the 4th day in the evening, the patient washes with soap and rubbing the ointment, as on the first day, using the remaining ointment and changing all the linens again. After treatment, hands should not be washed for 3 hours; afterwards, hands should be treated with ointment after each wash. In the case of flushing the emulsion with other skin areas, they must also be re-processed. The ointment is completely washed off the skin on the fifth day of treatment. Treatment of complicated scabies (dermatitis, eczema, pyoderma, postscabial lymphoplasia) should be carried out simultaneously with the treatment of scabies and continue after its completion.
