Indications
The drug is used as an expectorant in the complex therapy of inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract with difficult to discharge sputum (including bronchitis, tracheitis, tracheobronchitis), in acute respiratory diseases, accompanied by a "dry" cough.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, as well as to drugs containing the active substances of the primrose family and the yasnotkovye family; children after acute obstructive laryngitis (croup); bronchial asthma, diabetes; hereditary intolerance to fructose; glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome and congenital sucrase-isomaltase deficiency; children's age up to 2 years.

Use during pregnancy and lactation
Pregnant and lactating women are not recommended to take the drug (due to insufficient data on the safety of use in this group of patients).
Dosage and administration
Inside, the drug is recommended to be taken with a sufficient amount of warm water. Adults are advised to take 3 scoops (1 scoop -5 ml) 3-4 times a day after meals. Children aged 2 to 5 years - 1/2 scoops 3 times a day after meals. Children aged 5 to 14 years - 1 scoop (5 ml) of syrup 3 times a day after meals. Children over 14 years old - 2 scoops (10 ml) of syrup 3-4 times a day. The course of therapy is 2-3 weeks. Increasing the duration or conducting a second course of treatment is possible after consulting a doctor.
Side effects
Allergic reactions are possible. Possible in very rare cases: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea. In the event of side effects should stop taking the drug and consult a doctor.
Overdose
There have been no reports of overdose of the drug. In the case of an overdose of saponin-containing drugs, gastrointestinal disorders are possible, manifested by nausea, vomiting, diarrhea. Treatment: symptomatic.
Interaction with other drugs
Gerbion primrose syrup should not be used simultaneously with antitussive drugs and drugs that reduce the formation of sputum, because this makes it difficult to cough up a liquefied sputum.
