Composition
1 g of ointment contains: Active ingredient: oxolin 2.5 mg.; Excipients: soft paraffin.
Pharmacological effect
Oxolin has antiviral activity, blocking the site of binding of the influenza virus (mainly type A2) to the surface of the cell membrane, protects cells from the penetration of the virus into them.
Indications
- Prevention of influenza.; - Viral rhinitis.
Contraindications
Individual intolerance to the drug and its components.
Dosage and administration
Locally. Apply on the affected skin 2-3 times a day.; Prevention of influenza and treatment of viral rhinitis: smearing ointment of the nasal mucosa 2-3 times a day.
Side effects
Fast passing sensation of burning of the mucous membrane of the nose, rhinorrhea. When using oksinol ointment in some cases, there is a fast-passing burning sensation of the nasal mucosa, rhinorrhea.
