In 1 tablet: Dried grass juice Echinacea purpurea 80 mg. Excipients: colloidal silicon dioxide, lactose, magnesium stearate, sodium saccharinate, vanillin, cherry flavoring.
Pharmacological effect
Immunostimulating drug. Echinacea purpurea (Echinacea purpurea (L.) Moench) contains active substances that enhance non-specific immunity. Increasing the number of leukocytes (granulocytes) and activating phagocytosis, the drug inhibits the growth and reproduction of microorganisms. In addition, the antiviral effect of Echinacea purpurea herb against influenza viruses and herpes has been established.

Indications
To strengthen the immune system in order to: prevent colds and flu; complex treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract to accelerate the healing process; also as a source of vitamin C, necessary for acute respiratory diseases; antibiotic treatment of chronic infectious diseases, accompanied by a decrease in immunity.
Contraindications
Progressive systemic and autoimmune diseases (tuberculosis, leukemia, collagenosis, multiple sclerosis, HIV infection, AIDS); children's age up to 1 year (for oral solution); Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug and plants of the family Compositae.

Dosage and administration
The drug in the form of pills prescribed for adults and adolescents over 12 years, 1 tab. 3-4 times / day; children aged 6 to 12 years - 1 tab. 1-3 times / day; children aged 4 to 6 years - 1 tab. 1-2 times / day. To achieve a clinical effect, Immunal should be taken at least 1 week. The duration of continuous admission - no more than 8 weeks. Tablets should be taken with water. For young children, it is recommended to crush the tablet and mix with a small amount of water, tea or juice.
Side effects
In some cases, hypersensitivity reactions may develop: skin rash, itching, dizziness, bronchospasm, angioedema, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, anaphylactic shock, decrease in blood pressure, shortness of breath. Other: leukopenia (with continuous use for more than 8 weeks).
Overdose
Symptoms of intoxication due to overdose of the drug is not marked.
Interaction with other drugs
Clinically significant drug interactions were observed with the use of the antibiotics of the cephalosporins group (cefamandol, cefotetan, cefmenoxime, cefoperazone, moxalactam) and simultaneous administration of ethanol (even in small quantities). The patient's reaction was characterized by redness of the face, nausea, increased sweating, headache, palpitations. In this regard, Immunal in the form of oral solution should not be used simultaneously with the above antibiotics. Reception of Immunal is possible only 3 days after the end of the course of treatment with the indicated cephalosporins. With simultaneous use with immunosuppressants there is a mutual weakening of the action. There are no reports of any interaction with other drugs.
