Composition
Itopride hydrochloride 50 mg. Excipients: lactose - 34.975 mg (including excess due to weight loss during production - 2.93%), corn starch - 15 mg, carmellose - 20 mg, anhydrous silicic acid - 4 mg, magnesium stearate - 1 mg, hypromellose - 4.4 mg, macrogol 6000 - 0.4 mg, titanium dioxide - 0.2 mg, carnauba wax - 0.025 mg.
Pharmacological effect
Enhances the motility of the gastrointestinal tract due to antagonism with D2-dopamine receptors and inhibition of acetylcholinesterase. It activates the release of acetylcholine, inhibits its destruction. It has an antiemetic effect due to interaction with D2-receptors located in the trigger zone. Causes dose-dependent suppression of vomiting caused by apomorphine. It activates the propulsive motility of the stomach due to antagonism with D2-receptors and dose-dependent inhibition of acetylcholinesterase activity. It has a specific effect on the upper gastrointestinal tract, accelerates the transit through the stomach, improves its emptying. No effect on serum concentrations of gastrin.
Indications
- symptomatic treatment of functional non-ulcer dyspepsia (chronic gastritis): flatulence, gastralgia, epigastric discomfort, anorexia, heartburn, nausea, vomiting.
Contraindications
- gastrointestinal bleeding. - mechanical obstruction and perforation of the gastrointestinal tract. - Lactase deficiency. - lactose intolerance. - glucose-galactose malabsorption. - children's age (up to 16 years). - pregnancy. - lactation period. - Hypersensitivity to itoprid or any auxiliary component of the drug. Caution is advised to patients taking cholinesterase inhibitors and m-cholinomimetics. as well as elderly patients with reduced liver and kidney function.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Itopride is contraindicated in pregnancy. When taking the drug in therapeutic doses, itoprid slightly penetrates into breast milk, so you should stop taking the drug during lactation.
Dosage and administration
Inside, before meals, on 1 tab. 3 times / day The daily dose of the drug is 3 tab. (150mg). Elderly patients reduce the dose.If the drug was not taken on time, then in the future it should be taken at regular intervals.
