Composition
1 dragee dry extract of the milk thistle fruit (equivalent of silymarin) 35 mg. Excipients: lactose monohydrate - 55.
Pharmacological effect
Means of plant origin. The main is hepatoprotective effect. Flavolignans, including Silybin, Dehydrosilybin, Isosilybin, Silymarin, Dehydrosilymarin, Silychristin, Tasifoline (2.8-3.8%) stabilize lysosomal and cell membranes, preventing the release of enzymes from cells. Interact with free radicals and inhibit lipid peroxidation. Due to the antioxidant effect, various toxins (including chlorinated hydrocarbons, alpha-amanitin, pale toadstools, nitrosamines) are inhibited by the penetration into the liver cells. Silybin, silymarin and their derivatives stimulate specific RNA polymerase A, as a result, the synthesis of proteins and phospholipids in hepatocytes is activated, and the processes of regeneration and detoxification in the liver are accelerated. Normalization of metabolic processes contribute to the tocopherols contained in the fruit, macro- (potassium, magnesium) and trace elements (copper, selenium). Fatty oil of fruits (20-34%) contains a large amount of unsaturated fatty acids (including linoleic - 50-62%), which have redox properties, contribute to the oxidation of cholesterol and, together with beta-sitosterol, the prevention of atherosclerosis. Indications
State after hepatitis viral and toxic etiology, liver injuries, abdominal surgery, chronic hepatitis, hepatocholecystitis, biliary dyskinesia, pancreatitis, liver cirrhosis, toxic liver damage (including those caused by the use of aminoglycosides, tetracycline, immune suppressants, liver damage) drugs, barbiturates, tranquilizers, organic solvents, poisoning by fungi, heavy metal salts, halogenated hydrocarbons during alcohol nd intoxication) hyperlipidemia, prevention of atherosclerosis.

Hypersensitivity to milk thistle.
