Pharmacological effect

Combined medication, the action of which is due to its constituent components. Lysozyme is an enzyme of protein nature, it is used as an antiseptic due to its direct effect on gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, as well as fungi and viruses; takes part in the regulation of local non-specific immunity. Pyridoxine has a protective effect on the mucous membrane of the oral cavity (it has an anti-aphthous effect). Does not affect the pharmacodynamic properties of lysozyme.

Indications

Treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the oral mucosa, gums and larynx: gingivitis, stomatitis, catarrhal phenomena in the upper respiratory tract, aphthous ulcerations, herpetic lesions (in the complex therapy), erosion of the oral mucosa of any etiology.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, children up to 3 years. Hereditary lactose intolerance, lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption.

Precautionary measures

Lysobact pills must be absorbed in the mouth. Therefore, due to this particular feature, it is not recommended to prescribe the drug to young children, as well as to people who have impaired functions of the muscles of the pharynx. On average, the course of drug treatment is 7-8 days at the rate of 6-8 pills per day (pills are divided into 3-4 doses). The Lysobact tablet does not need to be taken with a liquid. After its resorption, it is not recommended to drink or eat within 20-30 minutes. Lizobaktom treatment does not adversely affect the development of the fetus during pregnancy (even in the early stages (in the first trimester)). Also, the drug does not require the abolition of breastfeeding a child. Lysobact increases the effectiveness of antibacterial agents in the case of simultaneous reception. Dosage and administration

The drug is applied topically. Tablets should be slowly absorbed, not chewed, delaying the melted mass of pills in the oral cavity as long as possible, until complete dissolution. Children aged 3-7 years are usually prescribed 1 tablet 3 times a day, 7-12 years old - 1 tablet 4 times a day. Adults and children over the age of 12 take 2 pills 3-4 times a day. The course of treatment is 8 days.

Overdose

Symptoms of overdose are unlikely, may occur after use in doses that are much higher than therapeutic, and manifest a feeling of numbness, tingling, and loss of sensation in the upper and lower extremities. Treatment: drink plenty of fluids (forced diuresis).

Interaction with other drugs

When combined, Lysobact enhances the action of antibiotics, incl. penicillin, chloramphenicol, nitrofurantoin, enhances the effect of diuretics, weakens the activity of levodopa.
