Composition
1 ml of drops contains: Active substances: carmellose sodium (type 7H3SXF 10-15) 1.75 mg, carmellose sodium (type 7M8SFPH) 3.25 mg, glycerol 9 mg.
Pharmacological effect
Carmellose sodium and glycerol have properties of the protector of the corneal epithelium, improve the moistening of the cornea with reduced secretion of the tear fluid and increase the stability of the tear film.

Contraindications
hypersensitivity to the drug; children's age up to 18 years (experience of use is absent). With caution: during pregnancy and during breastfeeding (due to limited data).
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Strictly controlled studies in pregnant women and nursing mothers was not conducted. In animal studies there was no adverse effect of the active ingredients of the drug. The optiv is not absorbed from the mucosal surface, thus, there are no objective prerequisites for the possible excretion of its components in breast milk. Use of the drug during pregnancy and during lactation is possible with caution.
Dosage and administration
The drug is instilled 1-2 drops in the conjunctival sac as needed.
Side effects
When using the drug may develop the following adverse reactions with the specified frequency - very often (≥10%), often (≥1%, <10%), infrequently (≥0.1%, <1%); rarely (≥0.01%, <0.1%), very rarely (<0.01%). Violations on the part of the organ of vision: often - conjunctival hyperemia, eyelid hyperemia, blurred vision, feeling of dryness of the eye, discomfort during instillation, itching and eye irritation, formation of crusts on the edge of the eyelid.
